If Oli XL seemed quiet for a while after the release of 2021's 'Go Oli Go!', the hypnotic single that announced his signing to Warp, it wasn't completely by choice. He'd been locked in a back-and-forth with the label over his eagerly-awaited album, so last year took matters into his own hands, self-releasing the first part of his 'Lick The Lens' triptych and fully reminding the world that he's still one of the scene's most innovative producers. And as a DJ he's just as captivating, freely mashing together his own tracks and exclusive edits with contemporary underground heaters and half-forgotten vintage classics.
