Bianca Scout's a tough artist to pin down. She's a dancer and performer as well as a musician, and lets her wide array of interests and obsessions seep freely into her elegant, intimate productions. There were outlines of pop still visible on her haunted 2022 album 'The Heart of the Anchoress', muddied by gaseous church music and eerie ambience, and on this year's sferic-released 'Pattern Damage', Scout puzzled out a mid-point between contemporary dance, chamber music and dystopian electronics, flipping theatrical baroque snippets and evocative Medieval harmonies into dusty, brooding serenades.
