LEYA(US)

If LEYA's ghostly chamber-pop sounds distinctive, that's completely by design. The project is anchored by harpist Marilu Donovan's bespoke tunings, developed to merge seamlessly with Adam Markiewicz's operatic vocals and processed violin tones. It's folk music, in its own way, queered by subtle electronic processes and classical techniques that gently nudge it from the timeline. And after collaborating with artists such as Actress, Sega Bodega, Eartheater, Brooke Candy and claire rousay, LEYA cemented their status this year with their third album 'I Forgot Everything', a cinematic, sensual daydream that fully integrates their medieval instrumentation with futuristic electronic production tweaks.
