Slovenian multi-instrumentalist Iztok Koren is best known for his contribution to bands like Škm banda, the post-industrial noisecore duo Hexenbrutal and Širom, a celebrated trio who make a fantastical, experimental take on folk music. As a solo artist, he's developed a uniquely meditative formula, using banjo, guitar, balafon, modular synth, field recordings and percussion, whilst pulling from Slovenian mysticism and ancient Chinese divination texts to help inform existential full-lengths like 2023's intimate 'Praznina / Emptiness'. Iztok was selected for the SHAPE+ platform.
