Svitlana Nianio(UA)
Svitlana Nianio is a Ukrainian underground legend, a founder member of experimental troupe Cukor Bila Smert who went on to develop her voice as a solo artist, using myths and folklore to ground her confident modernist compositions. She went on hiatus after releasing her first official solo album 'Kytytsi' in 1999, but when interest in her output grew during the 2010s, Nianio appeared again and has been busy ever since, collaborating with artists such as Tom James Scott and Raphael Rogiński (as Elik), and bringing rare works like 1994's 'Transilvania Smile' back into circulation.
