Muddling ambient soundscapes with nostalgic vaporwave-esque sequences and flickering rave-mangled beats, Dutch multi-disciplinary artist Joeri Woudstra, aka Torus, is difficult to pin down. As a producer, he's built up a freewheeling catalogue with releases on Sonic Router, Rwina Records and Tresor, collaborating with DJ Lostboi on 2020's effervescent 'The Flash'. And as a DJ he's equally as confounding, using his technical knowhow to mesh hard dance and euphoric after-hours memories into a fanged reflection on the politics and aesthetics of pop culture.
